Discover Sri Lanka
Some of this island only shows itself to people who know where to wait. Leopard tracks in the dust at Wilpattu. An endemic bird calling somewhere in the Sinharaja canopy. Mist lifting off Horton Plains at seven in the morning. We travel with you for all of it — our own certified guides, with your accommodation and transport arranged from the first message to the last morning.

Nandana Hewagamage · Founder & lead guide
Nandana began in wildlife conservation in 1990, qualified as a national guide in 2002, and founded Nature Walks Sri Lanka in 2017. He still leads tours himself.
A journey through Sri Lanka should be led by someone who knows the land the way a naturalist knows a forest trail — by ear, by season, by years of walking it.

Travel Sri Lanka with people who know it.
A good journey is about more than the places you visit. It is about who takes you there, what you notice along the way, and how naturally everything comes together.

People who know the island
Our guides do more than take you from one place to another. They know the forests, wildlife, birds, seasons and local communities through years of being in the field.
- 02
One team, from beginning to end
Your guide, transport, accommodation and daily plans work together as one journey. You are not passed from one company to another.
- 03
Your journey, your way
Some travellers want wildlife from sunrise to sunset. Others want a little wildlife, some culture, time in the mountains and a few quiet days by the sea. We shape the journey around what you want to experience.
Nandana began his career with Sri Lanka's Department of Wildlife Conservation and remains a member of the Field Ornithology Group of the University of Colombo — conservation isn't a footnote to our tours, it's where the guiding started.
